Care & Materials

How should I care for my garment?

Care instructions are provided with each piece.

We recommend handling your garment with care to preserve its form and longevity.

Can I wash my garment at home?

Where suitable, we recommend gentle hand washing in cold water with mild detergent.

Avoid excessive soaking, friction, or harsh chemicals.

Is machine washing suitable?

For certain pieces, a delicate cold cycle may be used.

Always turn the garment inside out and place it in a protective laundry bag.

When in doubt, hand washing or professional cleaning is preferred.

How should I dry my garment?

Air dry flat or hang gently, away from direct sunlight and heat.

Tumble drying is not recommended unless otherwise stated.

Can I iron the garment?

Yes, if needed. Use a low heat setting and iron inside out.

For delicate fabrics, place a cloth between the garment and the iron.

How should I store my piece?

Store in a cool, dry space, away from direct light.

Allow the garment to rest in its natural shape to preserve its structure.

How do I care for delicate materials like lace, mesh, or chiffon?

These materials require a softer approach.

We recommend minimal handling, cold hand washing or specialist cleaning, and storing separately to avoid friction or damage.

How long will my garment last?

With care, your garment is made to remain with you over time

Softly evolving, carrying memory, and becoming a part of your own unfolding.

What materials do you use?

We primarily work with reclaimed and deadstock fabrics, giving new form to existing materials.

Why do materials vary between pieces?

We work primarily with reclaimed and deadstock fabrics, meaning each garment carries its own composition and character.

Subtle variations are part of what makes each piece unique.

Care for Leather

Leather is a living material and requires a more considered approach.

Cleaning Instruction:

Clean only when needed, using a soft cloth to remove dust before and after wear.

If necessary, gently wipe with a damp cloth and a mild, leather-specific cleanser. Avoid excess water and harsh chemicals, as they may dry or damage the surface.

Machine washing and ironing are not suitable for leather.

Store in a cool, dry space, away from direct light. Allow the piece to rest in its natural shape to avoid creasing.

We recommend occasional inspection to preserve its condition over time.

Care for Wool and Cashmere

These fibres are delicate and benefit from gentle handling.

Cleaning Instruction:

Hand wash in cold water using a mild detergent, or select a cold wool cycle with low spin. Avoid friction and wringing.

Dry flat on a clean surface, away from heat and direct sunlight.

If needed, iron inside out on low heat or allow steam to naturally release creases.

Store folded in a cool, dry place, away from rough surfaces.

Pilling may occur over time — this can be gently removed.

Care for Silk

Silk should be treated with softness and restraint.

Cleaning Instruction:

Hand wash briefly in lukewarm water using a mild detergent, avoiding soaking.

Do not twist or wring. Gently press out excess water and dry flat, away from heat and light.

Iron inside out on the lowest setting, using a cloth to protect the surface if needed.

Store in a cool, dark environment to preserve its strength and finish.

Care for Linen

Linen is resilient, yet benefits from careful handling.

Cleaning Instruction:

Wash in cool to warm water using a gentle detergent. Avoid wringing to prevent creasing.

Air drying is preferred to maintain the integrity of the fabric.

Iron while slightly damp if needed, or allow natural texture to remain.

Store folded or hung in a dry, well-ventilated space.

Care for Cotton

Cotton can be washed more regularly, but should still be treated with care.

Cleaning Instruction:

Wash at low temperatures with similar colours, preferably inside out.

Air drying is recommended to maintain shape and colour.

Iron on medium to high heat if required.

Store clean and folded in a cool, dry place.

Care for Viscose

Viscose is fluid and sensitive to handling.

Cleaning Instruction:

Wash in cold water on a delicate cycle or by hand, avoiding friction.

Reshape gently while damp and dry flat or hang carefully.

Use a cool iron inside out if needed.

Store folded to prevent stretching over time.

Care for Other Materials

For all other materials, please refer to the care label provided with your piece.
